Your Brakes- What's Stopping you? Car Care education
The two main components of brake maintenance are: Brake Fluid Flush: Draining and replacing old fluid, check hoses, and brake pads Brake Service: Remove wheel, take off brake pads and clean up any residue on all moving brake parts and re-assemble . Watch AC Delco's brake video here.
WHY? If brakes aren’t serviced and brake fluid flushes aren't done on a regular basis the brake system will wear more quickly than necessary. This leads to parts needing to be replaced more often or to more extensive repairs. For example, in the scenario below you will save about $400.00 by getting your brakes done as soon as it is needed. Front brake estimate only: Replacing brake pads/rotors for a vehicle: Approx. $475.00 Replacing brake pads, rotors and calipers: Approx. $860.00 The worst case scenario of not caring for your brakes is of course, BRAKE FAILURE.
CAR CARE TIP:

Make an appointment for a brake inspection.
